The New York Yankees is one of the most well known teams/brands/organizations in the world. What many people don’t know is that they are major part of the sports culture in Tampa, Florida. Every spring, the Yankees head to Tampa for training and exhibition games in Tampa’s very own Steinbrenner Field. In 2014, the Yankees decided to try out Steinbrenner Field as a concert venue and the result was one of Tampa’s best concerts of the year. Steinbrenner Field saw more than 15,000 fans pile in to hear Linkin Park and Thirty Seconds to Mars. I captures some of the moments around the Field during its transformation.
